Quality & Compliance
Build + Design + Project Management
Health and Safety
Miles Construction places the highest importance on the health, safety, and well-being of our employees. We are ISO 45001 certified, which is an international standard for occupational health and safety management. This certification provides a framework to manage risks and opportunities, helping prevent worker illnesses and injuries.
We utilize the Procore Construction software system to conduct Health and Safety Audits, Peer to Peer Reviews, Safety Observations, and monitor progress on changes. Independent auditors regularly check our sites, and our full-time health and safety manager oversees our commitment to health, safety and well-being in the workplace. This includes driving a culture of safe practices, facilitating our Health, Safety & Environmental Committee meetings, meeting with our Senior Leadership team quarterly to review our practices and conducting numerous site audits.
Additionally, Miles Construction operates a Well-being Calendar with multiple inclusive activities each month to promote the mental and physical health of our employees and the community. We are also proud members and ambassadors of Mates in Construction, an organisation that raises awareness about mental health in the construction sector.
Quality
Miles is ISO certified; this globally recognised standard demonstrates our commitment to top-tier quality management and that our processes align with international standards.
We utilise Procore Construction Software, where we’ve developed a tailored Quality Assurance system. This system includes detailed checklists at key construction milestones, which our Site Managers, under the supervision of our project managers, meticulously review to ensure all tasks are completed to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Customer feedback plays a crucial role in our commitment to continual improvement and the delivery of high-quality projects. We value the insights and experiences shared by our clients, integrating this feedback to evolve our processes.
Environment and Sustainability
Our vision is to be more environmentally sustainable tomorrow than we are today. Miles Construction is ISO 14001 certified, an internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems. This certification helps organizations enhance their environmental performance through efficient resource use and waste reduction, thereby gaining a competitive advantage and stakeholder trust.
Miles Construction is committed to leading our industry in minimising environmental impact. We have invested significant time and resources into developing a sustainability roadmap. The first step was to align our purpose of enhancing lives through building with our sustainability vision.
We recognise that sustainability is not a project but a continuous business improvement plan.
